Original rule text

[BR-DEC-23]-The allowed maximum number of decimals for the Invoice line net amount (BT-131) is 2.

Stored validation assertion
string-length(substring-after(ram:SpecifiedTradeSettlement/ram:SpecifiedTradeSettlementLineMonetarySummation/ram:LineTotalAmount,'.'))<=2

What this rule requires

The rule requires that the invoice line net amount (BT-131), carried in cac:InvoiceLine/cbc:LineExtensionAmount (or the credit note line equivalent), has no more than two decimal places. The test checks the characters after the decimal point and fails if there are more than two. For example, 100.123 would fail, while 100.12 or 100 would pass.

How to fix

Change the line net amount to a decimal number with at most two decimal places (for example, 100.12 instead of 100.123). Check the system that calculates or enters line amounts to ensure it does not emit more than two decimals.
