The rule requires the seller's postal code (BT-38) to be present and non-empty in the seller's postal address. In UBL this is cbc:PostalZone inside the seller party postal address, and in CII it is ram:PostcodeCode inside the seller trade party postal address. A document fails this fatal rule when the element is missing, empty, or contains only whitespace.

Add the seller post code to the invoice. In UBL, within AccountingSupplierParty/Party/PostalAddress (or CreditNote equivalent), include cbc:PostalZone with the actual postal code. In CII, within SellerTradeParty/PostalTradeAddress, include ram:PostcodeCode with the actual postal code. Ensure the value is not empty or whitespace-only.
