What this rule requires

When the payment means type code is 59 (direct debit, "Lastschrift"), the invoice must include the BG-19 direct debit information. In UBL this means each cac:PaymentMeans with cbc:PaymentMeansCode = '59' must have at least one cac:PaymentMandate child. In CII, for each ram:SpecifiedTradeSettlementPaymentMeans with ram:TypeCode = '59', at least one of ram:DirectDebitMandateID under ram:SpecifiedTradePaymentTerms, ram:CreditorReferenceID under ram:ApplicableHeaderTradeSettlement, or ram:PayerPartyDebtorFinancialAccount/ram:IBANID must exist. The document fails when code 59 is used but none of these required elements is present.

How to fix

For UBL: add a cac:PaymentMandate child to every cac:PaymentMeans element whose cbc:PaymentMeansCode is 59. The rule only checks that the element exists. For CII: ensure at least one of the following exists for the payment means with ram:TypeCode = '59': ram:DirectDebitMandateID under ram:SpecifiedTradePaymentTerms, ram:CreditorReferenceID under ram:ApplicableHeaderTradeSettlement, or ram:PayerPartyDebtorFinancialAccount/ram:IBANID. If none is present, add the appropriate direct debit information element used by your system.
