The rule requires the seller contact email address (BT-43) to be present and not empty. In UBL, the test looks for a cbc:ElectronicMail element under cac:Contact whose normalized content is non-empty; in CII, it looks for ram:EmailURIUniversalCommunication/ram:URIID under ram:DefinedTradeContact. A document fails when the element is missing or contains only whitespace, because normalize-space() then produces an empty string and the boolean check is false.

Add a non-empty seller contact email address. In UBL, in /ubl:Invoice/cac:AccountingSupplierParty/cac:Party/cac:Contact (or the equivalent cn:CreditNote path), populate cbc:ElectronicMail with the email address. In CII, in /rsm:CrossIndustryInvoice/rsm:SupplyChainTradeTransaction/ram:ApplicableHeaderTradeAgreement/ram:SellerTradeParty/ram:DefinedTradeContact, populate ram:EmailURIUniversalCommunication/ram:URIID with the email address. The value must not be empty or only whitespace.
