Original rule text

[BR-DE-11] Das Element "Deliver to post code" (BT-78) muss übermittelt werden, wenn die Gruppe "DELIVER TO ADDRESS" (BG-15) übermittelt wird.

Stored validation assertion
ram:PostcodeCode[boolean(normalize-space(.))]

What this rule requires

The rule requires that when the DELIVER TO ADDRESS group (BG-15) is transmitted, the postal code element BT-78 ("Deliver to post code") must also be transmitted. In UBL, this means that within the delivery address at /ubl:Invoice/cac:Delivery/cac:DeliveryLocation/cac:Address (or /cn:CreditNote/cac:Delivery/cac:DeliveryLocation/cac:Address), the cbc:PostalZone element must be present and contain a value that is not empty or only whitespace. In CII, the ram:PostcodeCode element within the delivery party's PostalTradeAddress must likewise be present and non-empty. A document fails when the delivery address exists but this postal code element is missing or has no meaningful content.

How to fix

Ensure the delivery address includes a postal code. In UBL, add or correct cbc:PostalZone inside the Address element of cac:Delivery/cac:DeliveryLocation. In CII, add or correct ram:PostcodeCode inside ram:ShipToTradeParty/ram:PostalTradeAddress. The value must not be empty or only whitespace.
